I bought a land in a safer areas
I am among the citizens who had homes in the Msimbazi Valley. I am grateful for the arrival of this project, as it has helped us to leave the area we were living in, which was often flooded and surrounded by water. The compensation we received has enabled us to buy land in other safer areas.

Before the floods, life here was good; people lived well, and some areas were used for farming. As the city grew, the land was sold, and buyers built structures that blocked the water channels, leading to the first flood in 2011. Honestly, we went through a lot of hardship. The floods came continuously, so you’d clean the house today, and the next day, the floods would return with force, and sand would fill everywhere.
